B&B SEnDA de Alegría (path of joy) is a fully renovated village house located on the beautiful, lively Plaza de la Vendimia. Within walking distance, you’ll find charming restaurants, cozy (tapas) bars, and little shops to explore. It’s the perfect base to discover the stunning surrounding nature!
We offer spacious rooms, each with a private, fully equipped bathroom.
In addition, all rooms have their own PRIVATE TERRACE, a perfect place to relax and unwind.

Our Story
We are Fred and Yvonne Westreenen, proud owners of B&B SEnDA de Alegría, which means “path of joy.”
We are originally from Valkenswaard in the Netherlands, and since February 2026 we have continued our life journey in beautiful Andalusia.
We fell in love with the sun, the sea, the nature, and the warm atmosphere of the authentic village of Cómpeta.
While searching for a suitable B&B, we discovered Cómpeta. When we arrived during our search, it immediately felt right: what a beautiful, magical, and charming white village it is! Cozy bars, restaurants, little shops, and narrow streets to wander through.
It is also surrounded by stunning scenery, perfect for walking or cycling. In short, the complete picture for a wonderful place to live and to share with our guests.
We will do our utmost to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making you feel right at home.

Discover Cómpeta and its surroundings from our welcoming and charming B&B
Cómpeta is a charming white village with many (tapas) bars, bodegas, and restaurants.
An ideal base for nature lovers and hikers to explore the area on foot (for example, the Senda de Málaga GR-249). Or discover the beautiful surroundings by bike. Bicycles are available for rent—ask us about the options.
Our B&B is conveniently located on Plaza de la Vendimia, which is known for its hanging houses (Casas Colgantes). Due to their position above the old river, it once appeared as if these houses were suspended above the water.
In addition, the square features three ceramic mosaics depicting the production process of Muscat wine.
Every year on August 15, the annual wine festival (Noche del Vino) takes place here, with traditional grape stomping, flamenco dancing, and music.
Stroll through the charming streets and visit the artisanal shops and studios.
Enjoy a phenomenal view at the Mirador Panorámico. Especially worth a visit at sunrise or sunset.
Visit the Iglesia de la Asunción, along with the Paseo de las Tradiciones (ceramic mosaics depicting the history of the village).
Yoga sessions and wellness retreats available.
Visit the local market on Saturdays.
The beaches of the Costa del Sol are reachable in approximately 25 minutes for a wonderful day at the beach.
An excellent base for visiting places such as the caves of Nerja, Frigiliana, Granada, and Málaga—plenty of options!
